Sometimes yes, sometimes NO. You pay a monthly fee for unlimited high speed data, don't miss out on receiving the best signal and speeds.
If you purchase a device with AT&T branding on it, and insert a Verizon SIM, it will NOT connect, if it has not been previously unlocked by AT&T for use on other networks. Also...
Let's show you an example:
The MiFi X Pro comes in two models: The T-Mobile is model number M3000B, the Verizon is M3100.
They look visually identical, but they are VERY different.
5G Sub-6GHz: n2, n5, n48, n66, n77, n78
5G mmWave: n257, n260, n261
LTE: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 12, 13, 17, 20, 28, 46, 48, 66
5G Sub-6GHZ: n1, n2, n3, n5, n7, n20, n25, n28, n40, n41, n48, n66, n71, n77, n78
5G mmWave: None
LTE: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 12, 13, 20, 25, 26, 28, 38, 39, 40, 41, 46, 48, 66, 71
The T-Mobile version has no mmWave bands (i.e., no UW) and is physically missing the mmWave antenna module. The Verizon version doesn’t have the most important T-mobile bands and is very slow on T-mobile.
From this example you can see that although both models will connect to some of the 4G/LTE frequencies/cellular bands, it will give subpar speeds.
